Champagne Françoise Bedel is a grower based in Crouttes sur Marne on the western part of the Vallée de la Marne.
Not very well known as the production is small and ultra selective but when you have tasted her Champagne, you can only remember it forever.
Worked in biodynamie since 1998, Françoise run the family estate with her son Vincent making truly inspiring Champagne of the highest quality.
Their 9 hectares of vineyards are spread over different type of soils (silt, clay & limestone) on both side of the Marne river.
The estate is mostly planted with Meunier, 79% along with 14% Chardonnay and 7% of Pinot Noir.
The highest care is done in the vineyard to pick the most perfect grapes at the right time, usually quite ripe.
Long time on lees, low dosage and time in bottle after disgorgement are the philosophy of the estate.
All champagnes are true wines of terroir, complex and relaxed with very refined and subtle beads. The controlled oxidation gives that extra dept making them perfect for the table being vinous and pure.
Also, do not hesitate to hide some bottles in your cellar as they age sumptuously.
