DOMAINE EMMANUEL GIBOULOT
Emmanuel Giboulot is a renowned organic and biodynamic producer based in Beaune, Burgundy, France.
History: The family estate began with his father, Paul Giboulot, an early pioneer of organic farming in the 1970s. Emmanuel took over the domaine in 1985 and transitioned the entire property to 100% biodynamic viticulture by 1995.
14 hectares of vines across the Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits.
Viticulture: Uses lunar calendars, homemade composts.
Winemaking: Indigenous yeasts, and minimal human intervention. No use of new oak and no lees stirring.
The result of Giboulot's efforts is a small production of tremendous quality wines created through firm farming principles and masterful winemaking.
